Met Gala 2016 Red Carpet

2016

The Met Gala 2016 was a wrap! With a few amazing dresses and a lot of misses (I am sorry but so many of these celebrities looked like they came directly from the red district..), it was another successful event for the Met, whom held the “Manus x Machina: In An Age of Technology” theme this year.  While waiting for next year’s edition, look at the few Chinese celebrities who were invited for this year’s event.

Yop, that’s it. ._. Met really didn’t invite many Chinese celebrities compared to last year. So, hum, to make my post longer, here is a list of Liu Wen’s attendances for the last few years.

Last note: I think Emma Watson, Claire Danes, and Nicole Kidman killed it this year with their beautiful and out of this world dresses! Look at Danes’ dress!

  1. this was one disappointing Met Gala and it sucks because I look forward to the fashion every year. Last year’s theme is still the bomb for me and I’m obviously biased given that so many Chinese actresses were able to attend it haha! but seriously, even Liu Wen’s dress this year doesn’t look good but she can really pull anything off who are we kidding but yessss Claire Danes’s gown >>>>

    • Same. With how awessome last year’s was, I was looking forward to one of the fashion night of the year. Hahaha, omg I am so biased too then. I was excepting at least ten C-celebrities because that’s what we got last year! Liu Wen had better years (obviously). I think the reason is that everyone tried too hard to stick to the basic definition of the theme. “This year’s theme is machines. Let’s have as much silver color as possible”. Claire Danes’ dress reminds me so much of Cinderella’s, but even better! So pretty.
