Thought so too. First noticed how skinny she is when I was watching Happy Camp this week-end. She definitely lost a lot of weight during the last year, probably due to her filming crazy schedule.
Knowing how she is, I am sure she is eating well though ^^

Yeah, in a recent interview, she said he was only a friend. Other than the vacation pics, no other pics were captured with the two of them, including the time he went to the filming site. All he pretty much did was sit around with his friend while she filmed, and when she did have her breaks, she would be in her trailer. Don’t know what’s going on with that, lol. She did insist she was still single though..

I’ve been loving the WC and LY comments in here so I can’t help but share what I know 🙂 Their Chinese fanbase are actually quite good at burying or downplaying anything that would indicate OTP’s close relationship as they want to protect the both of them from any type of bashing, so a lot of the tidbits aren’t very well known to the public. I just happen to follow them religiously, lol.

@Lizze: In the past, the bashing did mostly steam from his break-up with Charlene.. none of the fandoms wanted their idol to be associated with being a cheater/homewrecker, thus anything that can be mistaken as reel-to-real during the LoZ period were pretty much a ‘let’s keep it on the down low’ (in my opinion, I don’t think anything happened, all I saw was two friends having fun filming together). There are also the general bashing that comes with shipping WC and ZLY with someone else, as well as those who are purely fans of one or the other. ZLY is also known to have a lot of couple-ships with other male co-stars, and I guess WC fans didn’t want him to be another name on the list (and get bashed by them). Her couple-ships were pretty fierce too, especially the WH/ZLY one, lol.
With the broadcasting of Gates, there has been an influx of new fans and the general public seem to do want these two together (<3). Probably because of the undeniable chemistry between OTP and because it has been more than a year since he broke up with ex. I guess people think it's fairly okay to ship them now. Though, in the past month, I've seen WC and ZLY fans get into fanwars with one another on Weibo. There were like two in the past month, lol. Till this day, I still can't figure out who and what started the arguments XD

Oh I see. Thanks for the lengthy explanation. 🙂 is weibo like twitter in China? I couldnt finish HCQ, despite my great love for ZLY, but I didnt think she had that great off screen chemistry with Wallace Huo. I did think she and CX had something going on 🙂

Yeah, the WH/ZLY shipping was quite intense. I was never on that ship, and I thought there was more chemistry between Liying and Andy Zhang Danfeng (who played DFYQ) than her and Wallace. Which is understandable as they had worked together before in the New HZGG. They joked a lot in the Journey of Flower BTS, and she played prank to Andy in the Happy Camp LOL. It doesn’t help that Wallace is naturally shy and quiet.
But the moment she collaborates with William, chemistry soars. (Though TBH, William always has chemistry with his co-stars). They look really hot together, and it seems like they have really similar personality and enjoy each other’s company. I can’t but board this ship! :)))

@Lizze: Np 🙂 Yeah, Weibo is like China’s twitter/online blog.. the majority of the c-celebs use it to interact with their fans, promote their work or just simply blog. Yeah, I wasn’t feeling it with WH either, and it’s pretty much confirmed that she used to date CX..
@Miss Attache: I think the WH/ZLY shipping thing did more harm than good for them, especially LY. HQG brought her a lot of fans, but also a lot of hate. The die-hard fans would bash their respective co-stars (like Sandra Ma–she got tons of hate and name-calling messages just for acting with WH. Think it got to the point where she had to personally address it on her Weibo). On top of that, WH’s fans deny that it is their doings as they claim they’ve always been a reasonable bunch, thus, they believe the bashing of other idols must’ve been done by LY’s fans. So.. even more hate was brought upon LY from the fans who solely liked WH. It was a mess, lol.

Same, as fans we should be more understanding. :3 On the other hand, I can see why these things happened. Zhao Liying just has way too many ships going on. Last year, I didn’t know if I should ship her with William or Wallace, and considering William just came out of a break up, I tried to keep the OTP fangirling moments a bit on the lower side for them. Sometime, fans don’t know what is the good thing to do @_@

I agree with you..I think she is amazing actress always have great chemistry with almost all of the male lead..zhang han, chen xiao, william etc except ryan in intern I think maybe because of the story more focus with friendship,but my heart choose to ship her with william…😍😍

Yes! I moved for Qi Ji, Chen Xiao, Zhang Han, Wallace Huo and now William Chan. All these pairings have in common Zhao Liying so I really grew to love her so much ❤ Ryan and her had a good friendship ish relation and although I loved the drama, I don't feel like the pairing was strong enough comapred to the HuaGu couple (Hua Qian Gu's Bai Zihua+Hua Qian Gu hehe)
Now, it is all WC+ZLY coupling!! yeahh

I am not going to lie, I did ship her with CX after their drama. I do think even if she doesn’t have something going on with WC, they are good friends. They seem happy around each other. Sometimes shipper fans go too far. I think it is funny that her previous biggest ships all ended up marrying this year and are expecting a baby.

Haha, me neither, I still remember how sad i was to see that Chen Xiao was dating Michelle Chen. One of the worst hit for my OTP pairings… It is good that Liying and William have such a precious relation and I hope nothing comes in to spoil it. Yes! Nearly all her previous ships are married or dating. Hope she doesn’t put too much pressure on herself xDD
