Liying looks so pretty. And looks like Princess Agents is almost done filming since the media is usually allowed into the set as dramas come to a close. Can’t wait for this drama and her next project, whatever that may be
Lin Gengxin isn’t usually that nice to other people LOL (unless he likes them) i.e. Wu Xin on HC! It does appear that he really likes Liying from the BTS pictures. There’s one of him touching her face to create dimples and I’ve never seen LGX smile so big around anyone. His attention during the media day seemed to be only on Liying too, he didn’t talk to Shawn Dou or Li Qin. I don’t know why, but he made it so obvious when he was taking pics with Liying and Li Qin, and he was only looking/smiling at her… Not to mention, he comments frequently on her weibo posts that are literally of her face only

😀 Yeah! Those pictures were too pretty to leave them in a draft and wait for new stills to get released.. so yeah, had to share! You are probably right! They had been filming for a while now. It surprises me that they didn’t release a trailer already then considering they are nearly done shooting! I also wonder what will be her next project and who will be her new male lead :3
HAHAHA, omg, that was one hell of a funny episode on Happy Camp though. Yeah, I agree, he does seem to have different attitude depending on the person. He was not exactly mean, but his blunt personality really showed in that episode xD
Yes, he looks so happy to film with Liying. He looked happy to work with Yoona before, but I think his “love” for Liying is even stronger! Haha, he must be fanboying! I remember Liying sharing about his movie before so that means they are good friends? or more? @_@

Which HC episode is it? The recent one with Cheney Chen and Ady An or an earlier one? The Princess Agent media meet just got posted on YT. ZLY is not as stiff as she was on Chusen but definitely not that close with LGX as she is with WC! I love Li Qin too – I think she is a pretty good actress and so beautiful! Not sure why she isn’t more popular. I like everyone in this show!!!

Yeah, she looks not too awkward and in her element (after all, she is the titular character!) Of course, no one can beat her chemistry with William Chan so far. I am not too familiar with Li Qin, but she is so pretty!

It was the episode with Yoona. And omg, I died. I supported 14th prince in BBJX and so, I have been a fan of Lin Gengxin… but, he is very blunt LOL. He’s def not one to hide how he feels at all. That’s prob why he gets along well with Liying. I kinda like that tho vs actors who act really nice in front of the camera, but aren’t really that way behind-the-scenes

What, Hunan bought the rights?! That is a bummer. I hate when they cut her scenes and then make her go on Happy Camp for BAD promotion. Gosh. Hunan isn’t doing so well drama wise this year I feel. Although Ice Fantasy and Zhu Xian aren’t doing too bad, they are far from the expected hit. On the other hand, dramas like The Mystic Nine, Novoland Castle in the Sky and Love O2O are doing really well.
Yeah, I think Lin Gengxin likes to express himself the way he is. He is not my favorite actor, but he is on my good side hehe

How is Ice Fantasy and Chusen faring in terms of ratings against Mystic Nine? I am up to ep10 on Chusen and only watch it subbed and if I have absolutely nothing else to do. Frankly am more excited for the upcoming drama Dragon Pearl with Yang Zi and Qi Qun Jie! Started a HK martial arts drama – Fist Within Four Walls – and it’s pretty good too! Been a while since a good TVB drama came along!!

I will check for information on Vlinkage for August 26th. In webdrama world, The Mystic Nine is top top. The next to it is Zhang Han’s Ten Deadly Sins.
Of course, we are more curious about the TV ratings. The number one is Love O2O, followed by Hot Girl (Ma Ke/Dili Reba), A Love for Seperation (Huang Lei/TF Boys), Zhu Xian (Li Yifeng/Yang Zi/ZLY), followed by Ice Fantasy and then Mystic Nine. But consider that this is the rating for a Friday (not the day of the release) AND that most people watch online since the TV version is late on the release schedule. 🙂
As for trendiness online, it is mostly Love O2O, Mystic Nine and then Zhu Xian/Ice Fantasy.
Yeah, I decided to drop Zhu Xian and I am catching up on Love O2O. It is a really good drama! May write a first impressions soon :3
Dragon Pearl looks fun and I think I could give try it out later!
Oh, I saw some recaps of that drama on AVV! It sounds good! I don’t watch TVB dramas though so I didn’t give it a try yet xD

Yeah, Hunan TV bought the rights for a lot of money before filming started. They might’ve also invested in Princess Agents (not sure, my Chinese isn’t great). But, their Weibo also said “do you expect it in 2017?”. It’s supposed to be broadcast Mondays and Tuesdays (Diamond Theatre) next summer, but who knows. That could definitely change. I think since this is their drama, they will promote it well. The Mystic Nine was a competing drama on a competitor’s channel so that’s why they intentionally sabotaged that HC. And I hope they don’t cut Liying’s scenes again…
To answer your questions, Baidu has all the ratings 🙂 Zhu Xian is doing better than Ice Fantasy, which isn’t doing that great. There’s some rumours that Ice Fantasy made up numbers because they posted some numbers that were too high, pretty much impossible, something like the whole of China’s population watched it x4. And people called them out on it. But, ratings don’t lie. And they’re just okay. Love 020 is doing very well! Mystic Nine is doing okay (not as good as when ZLY was frequently onscreen). Tbh, I don’t like Zhu Xian that much either 😐 I tried too, but Li Yifeng and Yang Zi’s acting isn’t great there. And Liying doesn’t appear enough to keep me watching
We’ll see if Dragon Pearl can get an airtime. As it stands right now, Huang Xuan’s Tribes and Storms, Yang Mi’s 3 Lives, Tang Yan’s Princess Weiyoung doesn’t have an airtime. But, it might cause it’s only 20 episodes

Yeah, I think the drama itself should get fair air time on HC next year, but no idea when it will get released. I mean even for a drama high class like Zhu Xian they messed up the scheduling and will only release the Happy Camp episode this week, with no Zhao Liying! That sounds messy to me alright.

As expected, Love O2O is getting A LOT of attention! xD I agree since I am one of the watcher and I love it so much (although I do have a few complaints xD) Wow at Ice Fantasy not even on the Top 10 today. That must hurt the producers as I am sure they worked hard for it. Oh well, it has just too many badly executed CGI…
Yeah, all the dramas you names will probably be airing before the end of the year since they are ready and high profile!

I dont like Hunan either. I don’t think they are doing that good this year bc they are sabotaging their own dramas. Legend of Chusen would be doing much better if they were not airing only 2 episodes a week on Sunday, then 4 episodes online. The drama online is over eight episodes ahead of their TV release. That being said it has like 4 billion views online and it is still doing much better than Ice Fantasy in terms of views and ratings. But overall it feels below expectations. I am on episode 16 and it just started getting really good for me.
I know there is a lot of hype for 2O2, but I thought I saw that the ratings for the first two episodes were below expectations(?). I would say MaKe’s drama is a big surprise, it is doing really good ratings wise.

Yeah, I like and hate Hunan. They do some good quality stuff, but they are so cocky they often forget the viewer’s POV. Also, they have that hallyu disease where they always want to invite Korean actors/idols for their shows and dramas. 😦 It is too bad because they ARE the ones with the highest budget. Legend of Chusen had so much potential, but they had to mess up like now. They still have a good viewership, but the drama had so much potential. In real life, Li Yifeng has more fans than Yang Yang I think (or they are near equal), but now, the trendiest is obviously Yang Yang. I am happy for YY because he deserves the attention and he did pick the good projects. ^^ Love O2O is at number one now for all charts so I don’t think they did below expectations xD Hot Girl is good, checked the first four episodes!

I don’t mind Hunan cause that’s the channel every show wants to be on. It makes stars, and at least Happy Camp will help promote its shows. This year, HNTV hasn’t done as well. All the dramas they broadcasted starring Gu Li Nazha did poorly (Classic of Mountains and Seas, CP5, Fox Legend) got around 0.5% ratings (a 1% rating is considered acceptable/good) i.e. I don’t think Chinese Paladin 5 was ever got close to 1% 😐 so, HNTV’s Diamond Theatre only ranked 4-6th during those time slots. now, Ice Fantasy is doing pretty badly compared to expectations, but its lowest has only been 0.7. But, Hunan did have hits this year… their Golden Eagle theatre did really well i.e. LGX’s God of War, Yang Mi’s Dear Translator, Chen Xuedong’s Decode, Ma Ke’s Hot Girl, and Little Husband. Not to mention, Hunan is also broadcasting Tornado Girl 2 and the upcoming Stay with Me. Guan Xiaotong’s Novoland is around 0.6-0.7% ratings so HNTV is still doing better with Zhu Xian
Chusen will be broadcast twice a week starting September 🙂
You’re right, Maoh, Love 020 only got 0.9/0.8. Hmm, I thought they were doing well because of online viewing numbers, but its TV ratings are actually low. Ma Ke’s Hot Girl is getting 1.4 ratings in comparison in the same time slot so almost twice as much TV viewers! Zhu Xian also got 1.4 ratings this week though.

So glad that Chusen will be getting two days a week soon. I think this will help them so much. I don’t think Chinese dramas are made for the two episodes a week format, it really slows them down. They also will be airing the HC Chusen special this week, so that will give it a boost.
I am hoping Hunan does a good job with Princess Agents since I have really high hopes for the drama. I feel that if they wait until next Summer, it would be too long. The drama has hype now and they shouldnt wait a whole year to air it.

LGX seems a bit of a player? – when they were shooting God Of War, seems that he was quite friendly with Yoona too. Oh well, as long as that makes things lovely on set (and some competition for WC!)

Truthfully, I don’t see how they could be very close/even flirt since Yoona only recently is working on her Chinese so back when they were filming, they could barely communicate? I do think Yoona is a really open, easygoing person so it’s easy to be around her… but, I don’t think LGX was being a player as Yoona had a boyfriend (Lee Seung-gi) in 2014 🙂 That’s why I believe their interaction was most likely for promotion. I actually follow him (since BBJX) and he’s not exactly the smiley, happy-go-lucky kinda guy around most people. Like I haven’t seen photos of him flirting with his movie co-stars or Dancing Legend co-star nevermind buying and delivering take-out to them
Even now, the only person who he follows on Weibo from the Princess Agents cast is Liying. Tbh, I have been noticing that William Chan, Chen Xiao, and Li Yifeng both like to follow random actresses with very little roles sometimes from their dramas. But, LGX doesn’t. He still doesn’t even follow Li Qin. So, I don’t really think he’s a player
Also, have you noticed how Li Qin turns her back to Liying?! It seemed to me that it’s a little awkward btw them

Sorry Ann – didn’t mean to be nasty about LGX! Honestly I didn’t quite like him in God of War (didn’t watch BBJX) but he was good in the recent movie When Bullets Fly ! I did read some reports of him and Yoona dating during GoW but I guess just rumors or over zealous fans!! Sorry again!

Okay watched that HC episode with LGX and Yoona! Actually it seems that LGX is the kind that he will be nice to you if he likes you / you are his friend or otherwise, he is all business. Not rude or anything but just no special treatment and probably not the most chivalrous kind!! Poor Wuxin. I have to say that I like Yoona better than Jessica – she may not know anyone else besides LGX but she wasn’t sticking to him the way Jessica was to WC.

I think maybe bc she is just standing there. It can get awkward when Liying keeps answering questions and she is just there. I dont know I always feel like that watching these press releases. But Liying does seem closer to LGX out of the three. I also think LGX was just being nice with Yoona and for promotion purposes.

Yeah – I always feel bad for the 2nd lead who have to stand there while all the questions are at the first lead. Li Qin herself has headlined a few dramas but probably the smaller productions – she is classically trained in Chinese opera I think.
I think ZLY is friendly with LGX because he gave her food (esp spicy stuff). 🙂 She was also friendlier to the HC interviewer (BTS after she had to leave early) because he brought her food!

I remember reading here about YangZi and ZLY. I think the media/fans putting them against each other made it uncomfortable for them, but they are at least on friendly terms. There are some pics of them going out to eat together and they joked around on set. I hope their relationship wasn’t affected.

I feel the same way. I was worried Liying lost so much weight and she would look weird. But she looks so pretty here. Added the dress and the hairstyle, she is perfect here! I think she still looks healthy, but please don’t lose more now..

Yes! She is just so delightful and I love that dress. I think I like all of her costumes so far, which makes me anticipate the drama even more! Yeah, she is skinny enough like this. Everyone is impressed by her quick change. She is such a hard worker.

there’s no need to release a trailer because this drama is already sold before filming even started.. dramas only need to release stills and trailers if they want to generate interest, which isn’t the case here

I saw this gif of ZLY </3. They must have really hard filming conditions. The weather is really hot and she is so thin. I hope this drama is a success to repay all her hard work. She really went all out for this filming.
