Hey everyone! First, I want to say, thank you for all the amazing feedback we got for the community blog. As I talked with Archidisign (who is super busy this week), here are the ideas that came out the most. I will add a poll within this article and hopefully, we can get cracking really soon ^^

A lot of people are interested in creating a community blog, but which platform should we use?
- WordPress: It allows multiple admins and is fairly easy to use. However, as we will using the free hosting option, we would not have access to plug-ins, meaning we will not have Disqus (I know everyone love it ><) and there would only be 2GB of gallery storage. Consequently, we have to keep using WP comments and change to imgur to save images externally once we max out the storage. Note: if we choose a different WP theme, the comment section may become more user friendly ^^.
- Facebook Group: Obviously, our identities would be revealed, but it would also be the easiest way to share content from many bloggers at the same time. If the permalink you share goes to your own blog, then it allows you to have your own viable blog within the community.
- Others. There are other blogging platform, like Blogger, MyDramaList, Forum or Email Newsfeed. I am not as familiar with these ideas so tell me how it can get done. A lot of people seems to like Disqus and I would love to know how we can implement it into the blog ^^. It seems to be a popular platform on Blogger, but is it easy to transfer?
Note: The name of the blog! The features and description of the new blog can change at anytime, but the domain name can only be chosen at the beginning. Ann suggested the name “Allthingscent”, does anyone else have an idea? I personally don’t like “Allthing” (sorry!).. what about “Anythingcent” or “Everythingcent”? Also, Chexmix suggested “Cnewsdevotee” and “Cpress”. I like them too 😀
People so far who have shown interest are listed below 🙂 Some of the commenters are very busy with real life commitments, and that is totally okay. We will just add you to the list of admin and whenever you can, you can post articles on the blog. If anyone else is interested to join (or if I missed anyone), please comment again below ^^.

Some people raised concerns about the feasibility of this project and I acknowledge your opinion. This new community would be a kind of test and even if it fails, I will accept this reality. However, I sincerely hope it is something we can all enjoy ^^.
Depending on the results of the poll, I will be back in 1-2 days with more detailed information.

I think I just become part of discussion person in the blog cause I don’t understand chinesse at all and I can’t follow weibo too or open baidu but I really enjoyed having communication here with all the fansgirls.whatever platform all of you choose I still become part of this family..

Hi! I would love to be part of the community and help out with the recaps/review posts. Except it will also be ZYL centric like most people that come to this site! =D
As most people follow this website I feel like they are familiar with the format. Can I suggest that we keep it the same style but maybe just open another site called cnewsdevotee or cpress or something similar? (Kinda like when you guys moved on from cdrama to cent).
Not sure how many admins you can add to for wordpress tho.

Hmm.. Thats a good point, hopefully there is no limit otherwise we may need to select (I can always opt out… but…), I will look into it after more people vote for a domain name ^^.

Hello intellectualkitten! I was added as admin of cnewsdevotee and you can check the revisions on the forum admin draft . What happened was this – I was speaking civilly with victaorious about her revisions on my post (because she kept putting Lin Gengxin before Kris and she did this more than 5 times which I don’t really understand why anyone would choose to fixate on that). I presented my argument and my justification for how I placed the names and…. then I was kicked out of the blog without warning or reason. I heard that she then deleted our conversation and she also deleted my comment when I commented on the latest post asking if I was deleted by accident.
I would really need clarification on this. I don’t think you would want to be a website known to kick out admins for no reason? I was helping contribute to the site. This is really frustrating.

I like having both WordPress and Facebook. I wouldn’t mind managing the Facebook page and once in a while hoping on WordPress.
The facebook is a great ideal because it’s more of a promotional tool and easy for a quick update that doesn’t need a whole post on it.

Thank you for offering to do this! Are you thinking of a Facebook page or a Facebook group? Both have advantages and disadvantages, what do you think? 😛

I think a facebook page would allow more people to access it, but on the other hand, a facebook group would allow us to speak more freely

Totally agree. However, if we go with WordPress (which seems to be the preferred option), wouldn’t that make a Facebook Group useless? Since people would be able to speak just as freely on the website 😛

I don’t know about MyDramaList as a platform. I used it to keep track of what I watched or liked but I don’t think it is that active blogging wise. So I guess I am going with wordpress. Disqus is useful but not essential.

There is a manual way to add the Disqus option to a Free WordPress account, without having to use the plugin.

I’m sorry, but I just realized that the new version of WordPress doesn’t allow manually installing Disqus anymore, due to the fact that the appearance editor (the place where manual installation is held) has been disabled on Free WordPress accounts 😦
An alternative solution is to use Blogspot where Disqus can be installed on free accounts.

😦 Awnn no… Hmm… I think we are staying with WordPress though, since it is the most popular choice and a lot of people already have an account here. Let’s try to find a good theme for interactive discussions ^^

Yeahhh! I just sent you the request 😀 It will be on wordpress and there is two articles out (wohohh!) The level of commitment depend on each person and there won’t be any pressure. The important thing is to have fun while writing :P.

Sad that this place will be closing down, but excited that you all are trying to create something new for us c-ent folllowers! I wholly support this project ❤ I wouldn't mind helping out, but I'm almost certain I'd be so ZLY biased that I don't think it's a good idea to have me post anything, lol. But I promise I'll be a frequent commentor! And I'd supply with whatever information I have in the comments instead 🙂 🙂
I don't mind WordPress at all.. and whatever domain name is fine–I'm good with all the names on the list 🙂 But yes, I do think tasks needs to be divided, at least loosely.. like someone can focus on the general news, someone on drama recaps/reviews, featured celebrity, c-ent gossips, etc. I think it would make things less overwhelming if people kind of have an idea of know what they're supposed to do and what they're supposed to be on the look-out for in terms of gathering information 🙂 And I think there should be a place for communication.. like a group conversation type of chat "place".. does googledocs have something like that? I think emails would just slow things down and make things less efficient.
Anyways, great ideas! Can't wait to see things coming together!

Doesn’t this sound awesome? ^O^… I am pretty pumped up too :P. Hehe, I will see your comments there then :P. The new blog will be Cnewsdevotee.
One of the nice things about WordPress is its display. Because it is so easy to see the title of each draft, everyone should be able to spot what the others are working on and have a preview of what is coming up next. It is a good idea to have everyone working on a specific topic too… hmm. Hopefully, that would be enough moderation since I would certainly not be there all the time. A google docs (or a google forum? :P) would be nice, but I wonder if it is hard to track (especially since usernames will all be different). We will look into it if there is problems of miscommunication ^^.

Like Ezc said, a chat room/box is great. If you can’t do that for wordpress (that would need a paid account), then I suggest creating a forum. It allows a chatbox module.

Yes! If you are still interested, I just added you to the list of admins (check your email!) And you can also write reviews or recaps if that is something you are interested in :P. However, having you comment is good enough for me ^^

Hi so um I’m a blogger too and I have been learning Japanese and pretty much started to write in Japanese. I have no friend who knows Japanese so if you could please help me know if my blog makes sense or doesn’t?
